EM acquires Asicentrum, an IC design center located in Prag.
In the beginning of the year 2001 EM Microelectronic acquired 51% of ASICentrum.



ASICentrum s.r.o (http://www.asicentrum.cz) is a dynamic young company providing its customers all over the world with design services and complete turn-key solutions to any electronic system design requirement. Established in 1992, ASICentrum emerged as a continuation of the late Microelectronics Division of the state-funded Research Institute, TESLA VUST Praha. Design and IC production cooperation is their fundamental focus. Since 1996, ASICentrum is also the exclusive software distributor of Mentor Graphics, an international EDA company, for the Czech and Slovak Republics.
